The Community Health Center of Niagara will host its Black History inaugural gala on February 29 at the Sheraton at the Falls.
Buffalo Family Works, a part of the Osborne Association, is housed in the Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc., location at 34 Benwood Avenue Buffalo, NY 14214.
The gala will highlight the staff and the work being done at the center as well as raise needed funding for signage.
City of Buffalo Comptroller Barbara Miller-Williams will be the keynote speaker, Michael Williamson, owner and director of Williamson Funeral Home, has been tapped to be the master of ceremony, the inimitable Marsha Wilson will be performing and the family of the late Jesse E. Richardson of Richardson's Fast food Deli will be presented with a plaque in his honor.
A conference room in the 2715 Highland Ave. site will be dedicated to his memory and a plaque in his honor will be placed there.
There will be an employee recognition portion of the program and many employees who live in Niagara Falls will receive honors. The event will take place in the Grand Ballroom of the Sheraton at the Falls, 300 Third St., Niagara Falls. Tickets are still available.
