Thank you all for participating in our second annual See Us, Support Us campaign! We appreciate all of your efforts to promote the campaign on social media and your contributions that made this year’s campaign a success. 

Highlights from this year’s campaign included:

  • Our partnership with the San Francisco and Alameda County Children of Incarcerated Parents Partnerships which made this year’s campaign bi-coastal;
  • NYC Council Member Dromm issuing a proclamation recognizing October as See Us, Support Us month;
  • Governor Cuomo issuing a proclamation recognizing October 2016 as See Us, Support Us month;
  • Watching 50 bright smiling children’s faces have fun at our Children’s Celebration at Brooklyn Borough Hall;
  • The launch of our second annual Snapshot Week, a point-in-time data collection effort to identify the number of children in NYC’s foster care system who have an incarcerated parent.

The New York Initiative for Children of Incarcerated Parents invites you to carry the SEE US, SUPPORT US effort to raise awareness an build support for children with incarcerated parents throughout the year. We hope you will join our campaign in October 2017, but don't wait until then to become an ambassador for the Children's Bill of Rights
