On Wednesday, May 8, our annual fundraiser breakfast brought together more than 700 supporters, advocates, elected officials, and Osborne staff and participants to reflect on the current state of our work, celebrate our victories, and lay the foundation for more success in the future.

Our Master of Ceremonies Chris Hayes, "The Nation" Editor and Publisher Katrina vanden Heuvel, and President and CEO Elizabeth Gaynes all shared their insights about the state of the criminal justice system. We thank Osborne participants Marcus Rivera and Natalie De Los Santos for sharing their very personal, powerful stories of transformation.

Of course, we were proud to give Special Honoree Stacey Abrams the Thomas Mott Osborne Spirit Award, and to hear her share the story of her family's relationship to incarceration, and the reminder that our government and institutions have the responsibility to protect the humanity of those we serve, even when they have made mistakes.
