Osborne Dedicates FamilyWorks Buffalo
On Wednesday, August 13, the Osborne Association officially dedicated the FamilyWorks Buffalo community site and video visiting space at the Community Health Center of Buffalo. We thank our partners at the Community Health Center of Buffalo, and Senator Ted Kennedy and Assembly Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes for their support.
FamilyWorks Buffalo builds on Osborne’s nine decades of experience working with people in prison and jails and their families. The program offers free video visiting for children and family members as a supplement to in-person visiting. Children and family members are able to see and speak with incarcerated loved ones by video from our office to nine New York State prisons. Osborne's program also includes recreational activities and youth leadership and peer support groups (now happening virtually), and offers education, training, and support for Buffalo-area organizations and programs about the experiences and needs of children with incarcerated parents.
