Appreciating Caregivers
Celebrating five years of service and support in Buffalo!

On Thursday, May 30, 2024, Osborne’s Buffalo office celebrated five years of service and support for families and individuals affected by incarceration at our Annual Caregivers Event.

Aniyah Maye, a Buffalo Youth Action Council member, kicked off the evening celebration with a poem, “I Am Somebody,” centering the voices and experiences of young people. Program Manager Dior Lindsey awarded Representative Timothy Kennedy and Assembly Majority Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes the Spirited Support Awards for their continued support and funding of FamilyWorks Buffalo over the last five years. Shadequa Coad, Family Services Specialist, spotlighted extraordinary caregivers Terry Bennett, Tiffany White, and Blonca Floyd with Exceptional Engagement Awards.

Osborne President & CEO Jon Monsalve closed the event, awarding the Community Health Center of Buffalo and Denise O’Donnell, former director of the Bureau of Justice Assistance and New York State Commissioner of Criminal Justice Services, with Tenacious Trailblazers Awards for their invaluable contributions to strengthening community and transforming the criminal legal system.

FamilyWorks Buffalo provides supportive programming for children, youth, and families in the Greater Buffalo area who are affected by incarceration. In a welcoming, safe environment, we offer enrichment, leadership, and community-building programs, as well as video visiting to maintain relationships while a loved one is incarcerated.
