Telling Our Stories
Osborne partnered with StoryCorps, the national oral history project and radio program, to record, preserve and share the unique and important stories of our staff and participant community. StoryCorps’ mission is to preserve and share humanity’s stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world.

While Jack Russell was growing up in New York City, he went in and out of foster care and spent time in jail and prison for attempted robbery. He came to StoryCorps with his friend Miguel Delgado to talk about his childhood and what led to his incarceration. Jack is now 29 years old and a stay-at-home dad. During his conversation with Miguel, Jack reflected on how the support he received from his grandma during his incarceration encouraged him to transform his life. A clip of his conversation is featured on the StoryCorps website.
