World Aids Day 2022

On World AIDS Day, we stand in solidarity with our partners and participants and call for the elimination of disparities and inequities that create barriers to HIV testing, prevention, and access to HIV care.

Osborne stands with our participants, partner organizations, and staff in observing World AIDS Day. This year’s theme is “Putting Ourselves to the Test: Achieving Equity to End HIV,” encouraging people to unite globally to eliminate the disparities and inequities that create barriers to HIV care.

“Osborne works to equalize access to HIV testing, counseling, and prevention through our services in New York State prisons,” said Osborne President & CEO Archana Jayaram. “In the Bronx, we connect HIV-positive people to care as they return home from incarceration. Ending AIDS means protecting and supporting everyone.”

Osborne’s Senior LGBTQIA+ Liaison Grace Detrevarah said, “The HIV/AIDS epidemic still disproportionately impacts Black and Trans communities and those involved in the criminal legal system. On World AIDS Day, let’s stand together and call for equal access to the care we deserve.”
