Youth Push for Bill to Protect In-Person Visits At Prisons
Osborne's Youth Action Council gathered at Brooklyn Borough Hall yesterday to protect in-person visits!

Osborne Association’s Youth Action Council, whose members are young people who have experienced the incarceration of a parent, gathered with other youth, elected officials, formerly incarcerated parents, family members, and advocates to call for immediate action to pass a bill that would protect in-person visiting in New York State jails and prisons. Assemblymember David I. Weprin (D-Northeastern Queens) who sponsors the bill and chairs the Corrections Committee in the Assembly, Assemblymember Jo Anne Simon (D-52nd District/Downtown Brooklyn and vicinity) also supports the bill.
