Aging in Justice
The US incarcerated population is aging. Older adults — the least likely to be rearrested and reincarcerated — often have costly medical needs and declining physical and cognitive powers. Those who are released confront many challenges with few resources.

Ensuring that incarcerated older adults live in safe conditions consistent with human dignity and receive the expert care they need.

Advocating for sentencing and parole reform so that people no longer grow old and die serving extreme prison terms.
Reentry
Working to build receptivity and resources for formerly incarcerated older people including public investment in housing, treatment, and coordinated services.
