Janitorial Maintenance Services

With the right training and support, a job can become a launchpad for lasting change. Osborne’s Janitorial Maintenance Services (JMS) provides people with justice involvement and disabilities a path toward a more secure future through meaningful employment and career-building opportunities. Recognizing the unique barriers people with disabilities may face in securing long-term employment, JMS offers a structured, nine-month program of paid, hands-on janitorial work. Through this experience, participants gain technical and interpersonal skills essential for long-term success in the workplace.

All JMS participants first graduate from one of Osborne’s Workforce Development programs, and are eligible for employment through JMS regardless of how long ago they were released from incarceration. In addition to on-the-job training, participants receive robust wraparound support for stabilizing their lives and navigating barriers to employment. This includes case management and educational and therapeutic resources tailored to each individual’s journey. Staff also assist with accessing benefits, housing, childcare, healthcare, and more, equipping participants with the tools to build the skills, stability, and confidence to secure and sustain permanent employment upon completion of the program.
