Reentry Planning and Reintegration

Efforts to reduce the population of our prisons and jails will only succeed if reentry succeeds. However, rebuilding a life after incarceration can be an overwhelming task. People face many challenges at once, including the need for housing, health care, employment, schooling, financial resources, and family support. People living with HIV/AIDS and Hepatitis-C (HCV) must maintain a treatment regimen that requires consistency to be effective. Parents confront the emotional and financial needs of their children. Older adults may find the usual challenges exacerbated by profound disorientation, lost community and family ties, and the physical and cognitive decline that can come with aging.

Osborne’s reentry and reintegration services begin inside correctional facilities and travel with our participants into the communities to which they return. We offer coordinated, multi-layered resources and bring special expertise to the needs of people living with HIV and HCV, parents, and older adults.
