The Osborne Association (“The Osborne Association,” “we,” “us” or “our”) respects the privacy of our website visitors and donors and is committed to maintaining the confidentiality of the personal information you provide. This policy explains what information we collect through our website (“the Site”) and how we use it.

We obtain certain personal information through the Site, including:

  • Payment information, such as name, billing address, and payment card details
  • Donation information, such as your donation history and information about your interest or participation in our initiatives and organization

Information We Share
We may share personal information we collect on the Site. For example, unless you specify that a gift be “anonymous,” or otherwise request that your name not be listed, we list the names of donors who give $1,000 and above by listing their name in select publications, including our annual benefit materials and certain brochures. This recognition is intended to honor and acknowledge the generosity of our supporters. We do not sell, share, or rent our donor lists (or any personal information we collect) to anyone, nor do we include donor names in any direct mail solicitations.
 

In addition, we may share personal information with service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as mailing, technology, customer service, payment processing and billing, advertising and marketing, analytics, fraud protection and data security, and others.  


We may disclose personal information (1) if we are required to do so by law or legal process, such as a court order or subpoena; (2) in response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement authorities; (3) to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights; (4) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical or other harm or financial loss; (5) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity; or (6) otherwise with your consent or as directed by your representative.  We also reserve the right to transfer personal information we have about you in the event we transfer all or a portion of our organization or assets (including in the event of a merger, acquisition, joint venture, reorganization, divestiture, dissolution or liquidation).

We strive to protect the transmission and storage of any information submitted by visitors to the Site, but no transmission and storage of data is completely secure, and any submissions you make are at your sole risk.

The Site is published in the United States and is subject to laws of the United States. Children’s Personal Information
The Site is designed for a general audience and is not directed to children. In connection with the Site, we do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without parental consent. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without parental consent, we will either seek parental consent or promptly delete that information. Text Messages Privacy Policy
If you choose to opt in to receive text messages from The Osborne Association, we may send you messages about programs, events, reminders, or updates. These terms and conditions apply to SMS text messages sent by The Osborne Association. These messages can be recurring or one-time SMS text messages.

  • You can cancel the text message service at any time. If you wish to stop receiving text messages from us, reply STOP or CANCEL to any text message sent from us. After this, you will no longer receive SMS text messages from The Osborne Association. If you want to restart the text messages, you will need to provide your consent again.
  • Data obtained from you in connection with this text messaging service may include your mobile phone number, your carrier’s name, and the date, time and content of your messages and other information you provide as part of this service.
  • Text message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you. If enrolled in a subscription, the maximum number of messages per month you will receive will vary. If you have any questions about your text or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider.
  • The Osborne Association is not liable for any delays in the receipt of any text messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator.

If you would no longer like to receive promotional emails from us, please send an email to us as described in the How To Contact Us section below or click the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any promotional email you receive from us and follow the instructions.

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our personal information practices. We will indicate at the bottom of the Privacy Policy when it was most recently updated. Your continued use of the site will constitute your acceptance of any changes or revisions to, and any replacement of, this Privacy Policy.
