Hospitality and Family Centers Programs
Osborne helps families maintain vital connections with incarcerated loved ones by providing welcoming, supportive spaces and referrals to services across New York state. Through our Hospitality Centers and Family Centers, we reduce the stress of visiting and create meaningful, family-centered experiences that promote healing and connection. For many families, these Centers can make the difference between a stressful visit and one that strengthens lasting bonds.
Located near 19 New York State correctional facilities and operated in partnership with the Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS), our Hospitality Centers are open during all visiting hours, including weekends and many holidays, to ensure families have access to the support they need, when they need it. At each Hospitality Center, visitors are welcomed by a compassionate team that guides them throughout the visit process. Staff assist with pre-processing procedures, help families understand what to expect during their visit, and serve as a bridge to DOCCS personnel when concerns arise. They also provide information and referrals to Osborne programs and other support services available across the state. At select locations, we also offer transportation between the Hospitality Center and the correctional facility.
Located within five state prisons, our Family Centers offer dedicated, child-friendly spaces where children can play, learn, and spend meaningful time with their incarcerated parent or loved one. Each space is thoughtfully equipped with books, toys, board games, and art supplies that encourage play, creativity, and bonding. Activities are tailored to support healthy child development and strengthen the parent-child relationship, and the welcoming atmosphere helps reduce the emotional weight of visits.
By fostering connection and communication, these spaces help preserve vital family relationships and promote resilience for families and their incarcerated loved ones.
