ReentryWorks
Osborne’s ReentryWorks program provides comprehensive transitional planning to incarcerated people who are within four months of returning to New York City from a participating New York State prison.
We work with individuals and their loved ones to develop a personalized release plan that identifies and meets basic needs during reentry, offering coordinated support and stability during a stressful time.
Drawing on a wide network of community partners from the Criminal Justice Reentry Network, we link people to service providers who can best address a range of immediate and longer-term needs. This can include transportation, clothing, and housing assistance; support getting an ID, a phone, and benefits such as SNAP, Medicaid, and supplemental or disability income; and connections to substance use and mental health treatment, employment readiness training, and services that can support successful reunification with children and family.
ReentryWorks aims to equip people leaving prison with the tools they need to make sound decisions, successfully reintegrate into our communities, and pursue fulfilling lives.
